On 19th-20th January 2017 took place an inspection for the DCL Under-21 Futsal competition in Milan, Italy.
2 delegate from DCL were present – Technical Director Futsal: Rosario de Caro and Technical Director DCL: Thomas Krämer.
The organiser, SSS Milano, invited us. Marko Radenkovic (Technical Officer U21) was unable to make the trip to Milan.
On arrival in Milan, we taken by the SSS Milano’s Organising Committee (OC) to the Deaf Club for a cordial reception. It was a pleasant meeting especially with the President from Milan. Afterwards we drove to the 2 sport halls and shown around. The equipment in the 2 sport halls were of a good standard and so we were enthusiastic and positive about using the 2 sport halls. Very neat! We approved them!
After the inspection of the sport halls, we discussed further in the Deaf Clube. Dealt with the paperwork!
They also gave us delicious food to eat.
On Friday morning, we worked together on the paperwork and got it all signed off. Then we drove together to the CSEN building (Centrale Sportivo Educativo Nationale), where we discussed further about hosting the event and about the media aspects. It was a good meeting and we will get the support from CSEN.
Lastly, between the OC and DCL we discussed about holding a workshop. We have fully informed the OC that we want to organise a workshop with the Deaf sports federations in Milan at the same time as the U21 competition. DCL got full support from SSS Milano on the proposal of a workshop.
Afterwards Rosario and I drove further on with the express train to Rome where we hosting the IV DCL Futsal draw on the Saturday, 21 January.
